About Us Pastor’s Note Leadership Directions
THE BIBLE:
The Bible is God’s word to all humanity. It was written by human authors under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is inerrant, authoritative for Christian living.
MAN:
Man is made in the image of God.
He is the supreme object of God’s creation.
Man however disobeyed God and is sinful and in need of redemption from God.
All men and women are sinners and in need of a savior.
GOD:
God eternally exists in three persons, The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. (the Trinity)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He was born of a virgin.
He lived a sinless human life and was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of man.
He rose from the dead (resurrection) on the third day and overcame death, Hell and the grave.
He reigns eternally as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit is present to convict men of their sins, to teach them the truth of Jesus Christ and to provide power for living by faith understanding truth.
He is a counselor that gives guidance and direction for humanity, the Holy Spirit is present in a person’s life immediately after salvation.
SALVATION:
Men and Women are saved by grace through faith.
Salvation is a work of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and is a gift from God.
Man cannot do anything to save himself.
Receiving Christ as savior and Lord of their lives, men and women must repent of their sins, believe in Jesus Christ and confess their relationship with him.
BAPTISM:
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward salvation (Baptism without inward salvation will not save an individual) it is an act of obedience to God, following Christ’s example it is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord.
We baptize by immersion, baptism is an outward profession of our faith in Christ.
